  • Why it matters: SCOTUS’s Trump ruling creates a class of “American royalty.” We say: No kings. No exceptions.

  • Our Action: Demand passage of the No Kings Act and codify prosecutorial accountability for all federal officials.

II. Codify the Illegality of Trump-Era Abuses

Flagship Demand: Pass the Protecting Our Democracy Act (PODA)

  • Criminalize presidential self-pardons

  • Require disclosure of foreign financial ties (emoluments)

  • Restore congressional subpoena enforcement

  • Rein in abuse of emergency powers and IG firings

  • De-politicize the DOJ

  • Our Action: Build public pressure for PODA as the comprehensive fix to the legal black holes Trump exploited.

III. Defend Free & Fair Elections from the Oval Office

  • Protecting Election Administration from Interference Act

  • Duty to Report Act

What they do:

  • Make it a felony to intimidate election officials or interfere with vote counting

  • Require campaigns to report foreign offers of election help (Trump-Helsinki, Don Jr. Trump Tower meeting)

  • Our Action: Demand legal safeguards against election interference — whether from a foreign dictator or an American president.

IV. Force Transparency on the Presidency

Flagship Demands:

  • Presidential Tax Transparency Act: 10 years of tax returns required to run

  • Ethics in Government Act expansion: Broad financial conflict disclosure

Why:

  • Americans deserve to know if their president is profiting off the presidency or selling policy to the highest bidder.

V. Limit Emergency & War Powers

Flagship Demands:

  • Pass the ARTICLE ONE Act

  • Ends unlimited emergency declarations without congressional approval

  • Our Action: Demand real-time accountability when a president invokes “emergency” powers to redirect funds, suspend laws, or launch military action.

VI. Shield Investigations from Political Interference

Flagship Demands:

  • Enact the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act

  • Prevents a president from firing special counsels investigating them without cause

  • Allows for judicial review and possible reinstatement
